Palmyra Academic Press is an academic publisher of open-access scholarly journals in management and the business sciences. The press takes its name from Palmyra, the caravan city of the Syrian desert whose libraries and bilingual inscriptions carried Greek, Latin and Aramaic learning between worlds. The ambition is the same and equally unhurried: to build, slowly and properly, a publishing house that scholars can trust.

Publisher of record

Connexdotz Private Limited, trading as Palmyra Academic Press, India.

The press is an imprint. The company named above is the legal publisher of every journal listed on this site, and the same string is used on each journal's masthead and in its ISSN paperwork. Where a publisher's brand and its legal identity differ, both are stated here rather than one being left to inference.

How this press works

  • Diamond open access. No article processing charge, no submission fee, no charge to read. Costs are borne by the publisher.
  • Double-anonymised peer review on every research submission, by at least two independent reviewers.
  • CC BY 4.0. Authors retain copyright.
  • COPE principles govern misconduct, corrections and retractions. Nothing published is ever silently removed.

What this press does not do

It does not guarantee acceptance, promise a publication date in advance of review, sell authorship, display invented impact metrics, or claim indexing it does not have. Journals here apply for an ISSN only after a real first issue is publicly available, as India's ISSN National Centre requires, and seek indexing only on the strength of a completed publication record.

Journals

  • Palmyra Journal of Management & Leadership

The Palmyra Journal of Management & Leadership publishes peer-reviewed research on how organisations are led and managed. It welcomes rigorous empirical, theoretical and methodological contributions in organisational behaviour, leadership, human resource management, organisational change, and public and non-profit management.

The journal has a particular interest in evidence from emerging and under-represented economies, and in studies that report their measurement and analysis transparently enough to be replicated.

  • Palmyra Journal of Business Strategy & Innovation

The Palmyra Journal of Business Strategy & Innovation publishes peer-reviewed research on how firms compete, adapt and renew themselves. Its scope covers strategic management, entrepreneurship and new venture creation, innovation management, digital transformation, business models, and sustainability as a strategic problem.

The journal welcomes quantitative, qualitative and mixed-methods work, including configurational and case-based designs, provided the design is matched to the question and reported in full.
